ABOUT US
The United Italian Societies (UIS) was instituted with the intent of harmonizing Italian university societies in synergetic projects with political and corporate institutions, to showcase and connect Italian excellence with emerging talent, as well as facilitating communication between institutions and student body on key topics in the pursuit of balanced innovation and mentorship. The organisation is a community building opportunity for students, offering support for the London and broader UK based Italian community in adapting, learning and growing in an uncertain political and social framework, with open-mindedness rooted in a terrain of shared cultural values. We are a continuation of the efforts of the ISSN, from which we take inspiration when looking at the future.

THE GOVERNANCE
The United Italian Societies is coordinated by the Presidents' Committee, composed by Presidents of the individual Societies. The Presidents' committee is the heart of the UIS and will meet at least twice in an academic year to decide an agenda with new activities.
The Presidents' committee will also elect the Executive committee which will have the task of making sure the agenda is followed. The Executive committee is composed by the General Secretary, Treasurer, Secretary and the Selected officers, each following a specific task related to the UIS' activities.
To add experience to young talent, the UIS is accompanied by an advisory board, constituted by members that guarantee valuable insights with decisions and activities by the network.

OUR
SOCIETIES
The member societies have contributed to founding and building the leadership of the organisation, improving the ways we orchestrate and execute our events. Our most fervent front is in London, and our connections are growing to encompass all of UK Russel Group Universities, and beyond! We tailor our initiatives year by year on the society’s committees ambitions, and our cohorts’ needs, to challenge ourselves in reaching higher and creating greater opportunities.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Through the alliance of our network we co-ordinate the hosting of career events and hot-topic talks, Q&A sessions, seminars and workshops, and a flexible range of opportunities to ignite mindful entrepreneurship, inspire career development, and spark conversation on current relevant topics in society and markets.

For our members, we organize social events that contribute to the development of a social membrane of determined young individuals, where through informal contact they can build long lasting bonds and nurture their social life, thereby collecting fragmented university clubs into one compact italian community.
